Getting there and away

It's probably best to hire a car, as soon as you have booked, to get the best rates. Mountain Space is about an hour from Innsbruck Airport. We use Rentalcars.com or Check24  to get the best prices at Innsbruck Airport. Hire rates can be an unpleasant surprise, if left to the last minute.

Munich Airport is 3 hours away - you can go over the mountains (via Seefeld ski resort) or up and around the mountains (via Innsbruck). Both take a similar amount of time, although the Seefeld route is far more scenic, but you'll have to combat a few windy roads, so not ideal in snowy conditions.

Don't forget, if you hire a car in Munich you will need to inform the car company and also buy an Austrian Vignette for 10 days (minimum) at one of the service stations.

Salzburg Airport is also 3 hours away.
